over 120 visits. They assemble in an hours notice. Some
drive as much as 100 miles to be there. They are too old

northcentral Florida. We have been in operation since
early 2003. We meet twice each month and pack over 100
care packages for the troops. Attendance at our meetings
is usually 90 to 120. The citizens and media in our
community have embraced us and supported us with
donations and coverage. We provide resources and support
for the loved ones who are here. Most of all, we provide
a tangible way for citizens to provide direct support to
the troops. We hope that our website will provide others
with ideas on how they can support the troops from their

Miles was created by Congressman C.A. Dutch

United States Airlines in October, 2003. The program

fly home on leave for free. Travelers donate their
unused frequent flyer miles to the Pentagon and
troops and families use them to get free tickets. In
the first six months of the program, 540 million
miles were donated - enough for 22,000 free tickets.
